What kind of school is Lertlah School Division? How many campuses are there? What is the school’s academic program?

Lertlah Schools Division is an English Program private school under the Office of Private Education Commission with three campuses – Lertlah School Petkasem Road, Lertlah School Kanchanapisek Road and Lertlah School Kaset-Nawamin Road.

What are the grade levels? How to apply?

The school accepts students starting from nursery level to grade 9 without an entrance examination, only a placement test for the school’s use only. We limit the number of students per class in accordance to the school policy. Interested students/parents can apply for the up-coming academic year in advance.

Is the English Program accredited?

The English Program of Lertlah School Division is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Canada, and we are also appointed by the Thai Ministry of Education as the protocol English Program school for other private schools to observe. We continue to improve our curriculum annually.

What is the ratio of English subjects and Thai subjects in the school’s English Program?

Lertlah Schools Division uses the immersion methodology in the curriculum. Students learn to use English naturally in half of all the periods they study in school as follows:

  • Kindergarten 1 – 3: Students study half day with international teachers and half day with Thai teachers.
  • Grade 1 – 9: Students study 85% of English periods with international teachers and 15% of English Grammar with Thai teachers, 60% English Mathematics and 40% Thai mathematics, 70% of English Science and 30% Thai Science, 100% Physical Education in English, and 100% Computer in English.

Does the school hire Asian teachers to instruct English subjects?

The school has a policy of hiring only native English speakers to teach our students. This policy has been carried out for more than 15 years. The school has collaborated with renowned educational institutions in Canada to provide us with qualified teachers. When students interact and communicate with native English speakers, they learn through natural processes.

What does the school focus on?

The school focuses on academics and the learning of English language with native English speakers under Thai cultural environment and traditions. In order for our students to mature morally, intellectually and happily, activities and lessons involve various hands-on learning strategies that are child-centered, involve modern technology and are in accordance with the Thai virtues.
