On
Friday, April 11, Lertlah School held its annual Songkran celebration
to honor and preserve Thai culture, while spreading joy and fun to every
member of the Lertlah family. Students, parents, and teachers came
together to make merit by offering alms to five monks, performing a
ceremonial water pouring over Buddha images, and participating in the
traditional water-pouring ceremony to receive blessings from elders on
the occasion of the Thai New Year.
In the afternoon,
students enjoyed a variety of fun activity stations including: • Are You
Accurate? • Balloon Fun • Fill-Up with Happiness • Waterfall Station •
Thunder Khantoke Station
The highlight of the day —
and everyone's favorite moment — was, of course, the water play to beat
the heat and have fun together!
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents, students, and teachers who joined in the merit-making and festivities.
